Champagne – Vertus – France – 2024

Barons de Rothschild stands as a benchmark of excellence within the global wine industry, renowned for its prestigious Champagne production, including Chardonnay Blanc de Blancs, Brut, and Rosé cuvées. Located in the heart of the Champagne region, the Maison embraces a production philosophy focused on uncompromising quality, deep respect for terroir, and a continuous commitment to sustainability.

Within this prestigious context, LASI, in collaboration with NOFORMSTUDIO, managed the complete project development, engineering, manufacturing, and installation of the main fermentation hall, designed not only as a production area but also as an immersive visitor and hospitality space.

Winemaking plant design in Champagne

The project included the supply of over 60 stainless steel wine tanks for vinification and wine storage, fully insulated and temperature-controlled. The tanks are available in both single- and double-cell configurations, with capacities reaching up to 112.5 hectoliters, ensuring maximum efficiency and precision throughout the winemaking process.

Additionally, a highly advanced system of technical and visitor walkways was developed, combining steel and wood elements. These structures were specifically engineered to integrate and conceal all process piping and utilities required for both the tanks and the entire fermentation hall, enhancing functionality with aesthetic appeal.

This ambitious and complex project required not only advanced engineering expertise and cuttingedge winery technology, but also meticulous attention to design, usability, and the overall visitor experience, perfectly aligning industrial performance with architectural excellence.
